try saving your panel as an object, not a door.
The part you have created is the panel and not a door itself.

<T>Hi All,

Having trouble with the creation of custom door panels.. I've followed the instructions on the thread re garage doors... but all the panels I create get placed half out of the door frame (getting the same results with garage doors, entrance doors, internal doors, etc.). My 2D and 3D setting both have door opening set to 0". Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,

Do you have the center of the door at the origin?
