If I look at the script they are doing a few 'tricks' to make sure mirrored / rotated objects don't missbehave.

But it mostly just uses GLOB_NORTH_DIR, which grabs the north location from what you've set up in Project Preferences.

Check the 2D and 3D script.

<T>Hello,

I'm looking into the survey point object. I'm having an issue where if I create my own object and give it the survey point sub-type then export as an IFC it doesn't point north but if I save a copy of Graphisoft's survey point object, it faces north when exporting. Any ideas as to why this happens? Is there something in the code which makes this work?

Thanks</T>
