<T>Our office has recently upgraded to ArchiCAD 9. We are using a symbol from v6.5 and the symbols are reseting. The symbol from v6.5 is a keynote: circle with a text # inside. These are reseting to default (text :#1). This is the only library part that is affected.

We continue to lose this information periodically. Any suggestions to rectify this issue?</T>

Is there another symbol in 9 library that you can use instead of that one?

GDL has changed quite a bit since 6.5, and the library part probably needs script revision. Try just opening it and saving it with the same name - that MIGHT work.

Hello Melisa,

Old object libraries (pre AC8) can be converted to 8-9 version
by first saving the old project library as an .PLA archive with the
option 'Include all the objects of the libraries' (saving has to be
done with the old version of ArchiCAD) and then unpacking a new
library from the saved archive with new version of ArchiCAD.

This method may help in version related library problems like yours.
