topic A note regarding CUTFORM in Libraries & objects

<T>Hello,
Recently, I had GS R&D look at an object that I made which
looked strange in the S/E window, specifically, there were
section contour lines drawn where they shouldn't exist.
The problem turned out to involve the CUTFORM command.

Something in the CUTFORM command always puzzled me.
In the CUTPOLA command, there is a status value that must be set
to either,
"1: us the attributes of the body for the generated polygons and edges"
or,
"2: generated cut polygons will be treated as normal polygons"
You can not set it for both (can't be 1 & 2 simultaneously).

But in the CUTFORM command you can set this to both at the same time
because they are seperate parameters.
"status = j1 + 2*j2 + 8*j3 +.......
j1: use the attributes of the body for generated polygons and edges
j2: generated cut polygons will be treated as normal polygons"

Thinking that one must make a choice between j1 and j2,
like in CUTPOLYA,
I set j2 to 0, GS R&D set both and fixed how the object looked in S/E.
So, strange as it is, that's how it works.

If anyone is getting some strange effect in the S/E window,
and your using CUTFORM in your script,
it might be because you haven't set both status values.

Hope this is useful to someone,
