Can't Select Stairmaker Parts

I've got a couple of stairs and a separate railing I made in Stairmaker (I believe), and for some reason, they're showing up in my model, but I can't select them on any story I can see them on, at least not in the 2D window. This would be nice to be able to do since I'd actually like to delete them <g>.

Actually, I just discovered I can get rid of them in the 3D window, but it would still be nice if I could select them as usual in the 2D one.

Anyone have any ideas?

with the stair tool active, if you selct all , (ctrl/cmd A) all the stairs should be selected inany active window

Thanks, Erica. I'll give that a try next time something like this happens, as it does occasionally. Do you have any idea what might be causing it?

Is your signature correct? v8.1? if so, why don't you first upgrade to v8.3, that is free.

Thanks for the offer, Erika, but I already got rid of them.

I'm using 8.1 because I misplaced the disks for 8.3 in this mess that calls itself my house before I installed it to my laptop, and I'm not ready to install 9 yet. It's around here somewhere, but I don't have time at the moment to look any further for it. I just need to get this idiot project done and out the door.
