Yes, I did not mean to say Object in the Object Sense,. Thanks for making this clear.

A screen shot shows my many Favorites.

Still, is there a way to see what PRF file is currently being used with a file?
Example : If I load my Favorites from a Favorites.prf file, edit the favorites but do not re-save the favorites. Once file is saved and re-opened, what favorite scheme is being used? Also is there a way to see what PRF file is currently being used with a file?</T>

No. Favorites can be stored in any folder. I suggest that if you are a sole practitioner you create a special folder outside of the ArchiCAD folder in which to store them. For larger firms they can be stored on a server so that everyone in the firm can access them. See this thread on Favorites:
<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... 0182#30182">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=30182#30182</LINK_TEXT>
Favorites are not like library parts; Favorites are stored Settings or Parameters for library parts or tools. There's a really good section on Favorites and using them in ArchiCAD Help (Help/ArchiCAD Help). Hit the Search tab; type <S></S>favorites<E></E> in the search field. At the top of the list will be a great explanation of what they are and how to use them.

Enjoy Favorites
Jay,

your list of Favorites is way too long to be of any use. Take a look at the link in my post above and break that list into parts as there suggested.

Or go to:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archi ... rites.html">http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/archiguide/TiponManagingFavorites.html</LINK_TEXT>

Cheers,
the link you refered to is a wish... and a good one I might add. It would be good if the Favorites Title bar showed which Favorites file was active.
It may be a Wish, but a "work-around is to save a tool as a Favorite (no matter the settings) with the "*** Name***". For me I saved a Wall. I like to sort by type. The "***" force it to sort to the top by name as well.
