<T>how do I get .3ds objects into ArciCAD?
I have ADT 3.3 and the GDL Objects Editor add-on for it
and 3ds max 7 demo. I am also having trouble getting

3D .dwg files to open in ArchiCAD now. I used to do it. Is this still an option?</T>

I hear about problems to import .3ds files in AC9. In AC8.1 the "3DS Konverter" works fine. It is in German, and you can find it here http://www.gshelp.de/CDownloads/Downloads81import.html .
Hope that helps.

Hello Steve

Great job with Lightworks . Rendering is not the part of the architect job where i am really good.

Thanks for the french reply —your french is better than my english—, it is really a pleasure for me. .

I know your 3DS links e-interieurs.net.
You can find this one and other in this area http://annuaire.fc-cadlink.com/ in french and more here http://www.cgarchitect.com/links/default.asp in english.

I put some of them here <LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... php?t=2434">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=2434</LINK_TEXT>

ArchiCAD 9 includes the 3ds-import plugin by default.

You can open a 3ds-object as a library element. Try it. It worked for me (although I don't have a need to load 3ds-files into ArchiCAD. I usually do the reverse).

its in the add-ons folder. Import-Export. It should load automatically.

click Tools, Add-On Manager, Search for more Add-ons, uncheck the Hide Loaded Add-ons box so you can see what is in the folder. 3D Studio Out should be there.

If not you can download it. I don't remember where from, but I have downloaded it before. Some one else can probably help you with that.

Thank you Steve, yes the 3DStudio Out.apx loaded well in AC9, but what I need is addon for importing, like 3ds_in.apx in AC8.1. Because I still don't have that menu in the section "Extra" on tool bar like yours even 3DStudio Out appear in my addon manager window........

Please, if you have, could you upload for me? Thanks before....
