<T>I created a staircase (with ArchiStair), then used the "multiply" command with "elevate" selected and a 15' increment. In the 3D window, all the stairs show up just fine, exactly where they're supposed to be, but in the 2D window, there's absolutely nothing at those locations except for the original object on the first floor.

I don't think this is an ArchiStair issue, as I've encountered problems before whenever I've tried various methods of copying an object from one story to the other.

What am I missing?
The 2D of stairs will only appear in the storey that they were placed.
So if you have placed them in the first floor, used the multiply command to elevate 'x' number of copies of the stairs up by increments of 15' then you should find that you have 'x' number of copies of the stair located in the same spot.
ie you placed the stairs in the first floor, then elevated them within that storey.
Even though you are raising them by a height that would put them into the next storey above, they are not 'placed' in that storey, so when you go up a storey the 2D image of the stairs does not appear, even though in 3D the stairs appear correctly.

Instead of multiplying the stairs you need to copy the stairs in the first floor, go up thru the floors and paste a copy in them.

Cheers
Im not sure, but I think you might find all of the stairs are located on top of each other (keep clicking a hotspot and you will notice the levels changing)

Sometimes when I've done that, I end up with the items showing heights that belong to the lower story even when they're clearly placed on the higher story. What could be causing that?
No, I'm pretty sure I've always made sure to turn that off. I'll have to check the next time it happens. I've had some really odd object behavior at times.

Thanks, guys.
Method of placement?
Gravity?

Are you using storeys and setting the height to the current storey?

I honestly don't remember at the moment, Djordje. I don't know anything about Gravity (frankly, I forgot that it even existed), but yes, as far as I know, I've set the proper story heights.

I seem to be having better luck at the moment with having the items show on the next story, then copying and pasting them in right there.
