Don't know if it is the best way, but to avoid clutter of unwanted attributes in my project, I create a new project from template and then merge the DWG in to that. Clean up extra line work, redefine things with propers fills etc and then I copy that and paste it into 2D symbol of a new object. Add some hotspots where I want to be able to dimension things.

<DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"><T>Some times I found some DWG blocks that previous editing, (erase some lines and draw some fill in) I find useful to transform into GDL objects. I wonder which is the best way to make this done.</T></DIV>
