<R>After months of procrastinating and much toil, the new Trus Joist Objects are done and online. The new web site also makes use of the GDL Web Control so you can play with the objects before you download them.

Key features:

<S></S>

New product mix for US and Canadian markets

<S></S>

Australian and British/Irish markets added

<S></S>

Mac friendly

<S></S>

Better 2D symbol control

A lot of people have helped me get this done and I really need to thank Karl, Thomas Dalbert, Frank Beister, Ferenc and of course the great and wise DNC.

Enjoy!</R>

Sean,

I think you are to be congratulated. I recall your posts on theold system and think that you have managed to take what sounded like a project done in the "skunkworks" into the mainstream. Version one was a treat to use. Am looking forward to version 2.

Cheers to You!
sean thanks for the new object libraries!
i am having some trouble w/ the gdl central and mozilla firefox v1. i can not get it to download the plugin. i get the message from plug in finder service 'no suitable plugins found'. i also downloaded from gs off-line installers, still no go. is there a problem w/ gdl web central and mozilla? i thought the plugin had worked w/ previous moz/firefox releases, but maybe i had to use ie6. it could also be that firefox 1.x is still 'prerelease'. nothing on gs gdl area about only working w/ ie.
works fine w/ ie6.0.x
any ideas?
thanks again!

We had some problems with hosting the libraries but it's all resolved now. We're up to 2256 downloads and over half are ArchiCAD users.

I still need to make use of the HOTLINE2 for the v9 objects though. Things are starting to slow down a bit here so hopefully I'll have time to get to it.

So what's this about Trus Joist violating its privacy policy? I just got what appears to be a virus (at least it's spam) from an e-mail address I used only for Trus Joist. I thought you were supposed to keep our e-mail addresses private, and that's kinda hard to do when you send out mass e-mails without masking the recepient's addresses (I think/hope that's how it got picked up by others and it wasn't just sold outright).

While I have it easier (I'll just block all messages coming to this address), others may not have that luxury. Please be a bit more careful in following through on your privacy policy.

(I'm not blaming you personally Sean, but venting and informing others)

the email i recieved earlier in the week from truss joist was not to undisclosed reciepients, it had everyone's name on it. i imagine someone mistakenly hit the wrong key when sending the email.
