Thomas Dalbert let me know that the GDL adapter is not yet updated for use with ArchiCAD 8.
The workaround is to create it in AC 7....
Thanks Thomas

<T>Hello,
I am trying to help someone on autocad who has used the "gdl adapter" for autodesk to see the archicad library part that was created in archicad and then put through the translator.
I have never used autocad/autodesk so I am not sure how to direct them. It sounds like they have to load the library part but where it says "load" the button is grayed out.
Does anyone haveexperience with this and can walk me through the steps?
(They do not have time to learn archicad this afternoon).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you</T>

The free version of the adapter is limited to 20 library parts; did not try it for ages, but this might be the problem. Try unloading the default library, or just replacing one of the parts in the library folder with the part your guys need.
