This is driving me nuts. The only time I can get the error message today is when I re-draw the 3D window with the entire model. If I select any portion of the model, either with the arrow or either marquee tool, I don't get the message. I also don't get it opening selected windows in their parameters settings box, which I was last week. So now I can't figure out which windows are causing the problems. I've included one below that I think was giving eror messages last week.

<R>5 minutes before a client is due in my office I find what I think is a duplicate slab in the section window. I delete it, and without saving (so I could just undo if necessary), view the model in 3D to make sure I didn't just trash something I wanted. (I was unsure, because in plan, selecting all did not show a duped slab.) As the 3D window script is running I get about 20 error messages like the one attached, but with different line numbers referenced. I went to undo, but it was greyed out. Just my luck I guess that an autosave had just taken place. It obviously refers to casement windows, none of which I touched in deleting the slab. Can a GDL guru out there tell me what this means and how to fix it?

TIA</R>

This is an internal error in a GDL script. I can't imagine how deleting a slab could cause it. There should in fact be no way that a user's actions could cause this error. I have to wonder if it is some kind of corruption in the temp folder/building model. Quit & relaunch might fix it.

BTW the undo cue is not cleared by auto-save, but it is by a section window rebuild. VERY annoying and I really don't understand why

Quitting and even rebooting didn't help. Selecting any casement window and then opening the parameters window also displays the error message. Arghhh! The windows display fine in all views--2D and 3D, however.
I think you will find you the error is related to a specific combination of parameters. As such if you check the script you might not get the error.
Temporarily change the default parameters to match those in your model ( maybe better to create a duplicate window) then run your check scripts.

No, that's true. They display fine. The problem is all the error messages popping up every time I draw a 3D or S/E window.
I get a paragraph of errors when checking the script. Would it be any help to post the errors? When following John's suggestion, do I save the part over itself in the same library?
No luck with the module. The error did not recur and I cannot see any problems within the library parts (the report you posted showed the error as occurring in a couple of the macros called by the main window object).
It may be best to just replace the windows.

John,

How can you be sure it is a parameter setting? I can't imagine why anyone would write a library part that would allow a user parameter to cause this particular error. Deleting transformations is an entirely internal function. Besides I have looked at the code of the macros where the error is reported to occur and the DEL statements are not parameter driven. (I say "reported to occur" because I was unable to recreate the error.)

Dave also indicated that the error only occurs when the entire model is generated. Apparently when the offending casement is modeled in isolation the error goes away. This was also my experience, but I am not using Dave's libraries, so I have too many variables to narrow it down.

of course I cant be 100% sure but with looping etc it is possible to write a script that works 99.5% of the time. But an odd combination of parameters might throw it out.
Are all the Graphisoft library parts completely bugfree? I doubt it.

I didnt see that he said it works in isolation.
Let me give you an example
If a window had a parameter to select anumber of panels and you inserted 0 then unless the programer used error trapping you would probably get a transformation error ie trying to delete a a transformation that never happens because the parameter is 0
Sure I'm clutching at straws but Dave has had this problem for a while to no avail
