<R>hi all

is there a possibility with gdl to define elements who are just visible on the screen?
if you print it... they are invisible...

something like a hotspot or a camera in archicad...

thanx for your tips!
There is no way (AFAIK) to make a strictly non-printing library part. The typical way to do this is to hide the layer containing the parts you don't want to print. If you need a library part that is only partially non-printing you can choose a pen (or pens) to be reset to white in PlotMaker (I typically use pens from 81 to 89 for this purpose - like layout lines and such). Remember that the PM 3.1 default setting does not allow pens to be reset, this has to be set in the prefs.

We just use Pen 91, set to "white" by default, for anything that we don't want to print/plot. Of course our template files are set-up to accommodate the "non-plot" Pen.

Somehow, a tip:

Now in 8.1, if you tick the automatic visibility adjustment, the pen will get darker and you will see it on the plan (e.g. a white wall fill on a white background will go light gray), BUT it will print as it is. A step away from WYSIWIG, but a step towards clarity ...
