How to design L shape ramp

Hello ,
I have 2 ramp in my project. One is straight and another is L shaped. I have already designed the straight ramp using object named 'ramp 23'. (See the fig)
But I am can't design the L shape ramp. Are there any other object to draw this?

Use the mesh tool and elevate the corner points with 'Elevate mesh point' in the pet palette.
Make a surface override to set the right material.

I know how to draw a slope or ramp using mesh.
I am not interested in using morph or mash.
Are there any other solutions.

Purpose made ramp objects?
Or roofs - but they won't have a flat base.

Or with the stair tool.

Dear Barry
Thanks for sharing this beautiful Guide. We followed the instruction carefully ( See Fig 1 to 7) but still having difficulties.

Which values should I put/should I choose in my stair value. (See Fig 8 & 9)
We are trying to create a ramp without landing but an l shape turn (see fig 11)

You already have done a lot. We are really grateful for that. It would be really helpful if you can take little more time to guide us to learn this technique.

I have never actually done this myself - I just remember reading it.

I just had a quick try and I could get a ramp but with slightly different settings.
Profile origin is top left.
Stringer in stair is set to left (not right).
But this adds the stringer outside the stair - but that seems to make the best ramp.

I will see if I can find more time to play with it later tonight after work.
I will see if I can get the ramp to sit under the stair - which is really what you want to happen.

No that seems to be the best I can get.
The stringer has to be on the outside otherwise it doesn't trim properly.
It is still a little flat topped

I tried a beam structure but that is very flat topped and can only be moved in half the width of the stair.

The only other success I had was to just create a standard monolithic stair.
I made the throat quite thick and set the bottom end connection to vertical.

Then drag a copy of it self vertically and then do a Solid Element Operation to cut the top one from the lower one.

Hi, I'm having a similar problem. Just trying to create an L shaped ramp with a 5% slope between two landings. Tried everything, but cannot get it right. See attached images. It always seems to have some random riser or landing.
Any suggestions?

Does it has to be a stair?
You could try a mesh to define node elevations then use Mesh to Roof Goodie to create roofs. Finally convert the roofs to morphs.

TBH, I was hoping for a more straightforward method. I wonder what is the point of being able to use the stair tool to create ramps, when even a fairly simple ramp like the one I'm trying to make is so cumbersome?

That is just it.
The stair tool has not been made to create ramps.
These are just work-arounds to try to do it with the stair tool.
It seems logical that the stair tool could do a decent ramp - but it can't it seems.

Personally I would use a ramp object, roof, mesh or morph.

You can create any type of ramp using stair tool. I already did this. here is a tutorial which I followed. Although it's not n englis u can use automatic translation. Don't worry/. you can do this

Perhaps your project needs are very specific... but for this kind of ramp I use just three roofs/planes.
It allows me to use composites and the mitering between roofs/plans is perfect.
The last ramp I make it with negative pitch just for hide the roof pivot line in an edge.
