<T>Hello! I need to properly subtract the red wall out of the custom door. They are two stacked walls. I tried with the empty opening tool. It worked but it wasn't the same shape as the door. Is there a way to create a custom shaped empty opening or any other way so that I can get rid the red wall within the door? Thank you!</T>

When making custom doors (or windows) not rectangular, you would want to model the desired opening as a slab too. Then give it an ID of "wallhole" in it's properties dialog. That way the opening is defined with the door, and it is the outline of that given slab. A Slab with an ID of "wallhole" will not show in the door object. You don't have to worry about it's visibility. It only defines the shape of the hole in a door (or window) object.

You can make an empty opening out of an individual slab too, if you want to (see attached).

Orif you realy want the 2 separate walls then in the standard object library you should be able to find empty door and/or window openings with various shaped tops.

A complex profile wall with a custom door with the WALLHOLE shape as mentioned already is the best way to go.
Just to clarify what mikas wrote, you can include the slab with 'WALLHOLE' ID when you create the custom door frame.
That way the door will cut the correct hole when it is placed without having to use a separate opening.
Merge the two walls into one complex profile (there is a command to do this) and there is no need for the extra opening object at all.
My second door - created in the same way as the previous one along with a slab named WALLHOLE outlining the opening of the door and all slabs saved as one library object - new custom door, behaves in a weird way. When I try to place it, it gets placed outside of the wall hole. See attachment. I can neither select it nor move it. I can only delete it. When I delete the wall hole, the 8 meter-away door gets deleted as well.

You might want to check the vertical position of your primitives prior to saving your door object, the door parts and the wallhole have to be at correct positions in respect of the z-axis too, they are relative to each other.

I made sure the door is positioned on the same story as the wall. In the settings it looks no different than the other door that correctly placed itself where it should. This one gets positioned 704 cm away from the wall hole no matter what how many times I tried to correct it.

I always model my custom openings on storey 0 (or I guess it is story 1 in the USA version), with the centre of the opening sill at the project origin (x = 0, y = 0, z = 0).

Everything above z = 0 will be inside the wall behind the opening reveal depth.
Everything at z = 0 will be at the opening reveal depth.
Everything below z = 0 will be outside the wall in front of the opening reveal depth.

If you open the script you might see an ADD command right at the beginning that you can probably edit or comment out so the door is not set back.
I am not 100% sure without setting one up myself.
Ok, trying to clarify. Is this what you are doing (please see attachment)?
If so, check also the properties of the door. There is that offset value from wall surface there. Is it zero or aomething else? Hope you get it working, this is probably all I know about this topic allready.

Thank you, Barry and Mikas! The problem got solved when I moved the horizontal door (and its wall hole) to the Project Origin. Previously, the door and the wall hole were overlapped at the same level but far from the origin. Starting the modeling of the door from the project origin is a crucial but not an obvious step.
