Might just have been a glitch. I closed the program and opened it again and tried a few times and now it seems to be working. Previously once I save and close the object after deleting the 2D View script the program became largely unresponsive. I couldn't select objects. I'd have to reopen the object and re-paste in the script to restore functionality. bizarre.

Is there a simple way to tell an object to use the custom symbolic view instead of the 2D view (automatically generated by archicad and not modifiable) without having to delete the 2D view? I see a lot of old posts that say you can delete the script from the 2D view window, but when I do that the program goes haywire.

Can I change a parameter so it knows I want it to use the symbolic view while leaving the 2D view script intact?

You delete <S></S>everything<E></E> from the 2D script, then what actually happens? Haywire as in?
