Hello Lingwisyer,

I took a look into your issue, and found that it is a bug in the way mirroring works with Railings. I let the developers know about it!

Unfortunately until they fix it, having both versions created separately is your only option. Sorry for the inconvenience.

<R>Hi all,

Separating this query out of a past one. I have a custom <S></S>Railing Post<E></E> which is mirroring along the x axis when the object containing it is mirrored along the y axis. The end result is that the post is effectively rotated 180 degrees and now faces the wrong way... Ideally I wouldn't want the post to mirror as all, but having it just mirror along the same axis as the module still works.
The post is created from 2 slabs and a custom wall which was saved as a <S></S>Railing Post<E></E> then scripted for the required grid offset.

Has anyone else tried using posts that aren't rotationally symmetrical and needed to mirror them?

If there's no solution, guess I'm stuck with having a second version of each module that is mirrored so that the railing doesn't get mirrored... My layers of modules just keeps getting bigger... T_T

Maybe it has already been fixed in preview update 6000?

232314 MODEL: Custom railing panels and posts were rotated by 90 degrees when placed with the Railing tool.

That's actually a different bug. This bugfix is still in the works.
