While it's nice that the pipette transfers the properties the the main 'floor plan & section' menu - it does not transfer the same to the 'floor plan & section menu' inside the actual window / door / etc settings.

Having 2 'floor plan & section' menus has always been an issue for this type of thing. I suppose the solution is to over-ride the settings on the main menu.

I've tried to set up favorites & it doesn't work as well for me as a CAD file I set up with all my commonly used plan & elevation items.

Favorites doesn't really address this issue though either.

I would LOVE it if there was a way to change the default pens & fills on ALL windows & doors, furnishings, etc. at once.
I don't use the default rainbow pens & pen weights that come with the program.

I pared the pens way down to only pens I use so I could find things easily & I draw plans & elevations in black, white, & gray with a few color pens for things like MEP & for adding color to interior elevations.

I also pared my fills & linetypes way down so I can find things faster.

Really what I want - is to be able to suck up properties from one type of window, then begin to draw a different window that just auto populated with the pens, fills, linetypes I just sucked up on the other type of window. Same for doors, furnishings, etc.

Operating system used: Mac Intel-based 14 Sonoma

You can 'suck up' settings with the pipette tool.

That will reset the default settings for the tool of the element you pick (dependent on your element transfer settings).

But as soon as you change element type, or object from one door to another, you will lose all of those settings.

However, with objects you can transfer the settings (again dependent on your element transfer settings) from one object to the next.

Use the pipette you get the settings and then open the door tool settings.

Instead of just selecting another door object, inject the settings (syringe tool) into the new object as you select it.

That will transfer all common settings (i.e. pens and line types).

Another option is to set up favourites of all of the objects you will use.

Or wait until 28 and there will be a solution to map attributes to your template - this may be a little while after the release of 28.

The tool is still being developed.

You can transfer settings in the object settings dialogue.

The same as you do on plan.
