<T>Hi,

I wonder if it would be possible to add a (toggle-able) field to doors and windows that would allow us to specify an offset distance from the insertion point.
That way we would be able to position all Doors and Windows a set distance from say every internal left corner of the room by clicking on it.

A similar option of specifying an offset distance would be great for Dimensions too.

Thanks,
Ricardo</T>

This can be done currently the following way:

1. Turn on Snap Guides and set it to the "Distance" option.
2. In the "Set Snap Point Values" Dialog, set the desired value for the distance (e.g. 100 mm if you want to place a Window/Door from the Wall corner).
3. Make sure you also have the "Between Intersection Points" option active, so Snap Point will be measured from the intersection point of your connecting Wall.
4. Hover your cursor on the Wall edge near the corner and Snap Points will appear at every 100 mm from the corner. Click the first to place your Door/Window.

If you have your tracker active, you can also just start to place the window at the point you want to measure from (don't click), type X for horizontal (Y if you are going vertical) then the distance and '+'.

i.e. X 300+
