Increasing numbers in door & windows ID

I have a typical situation where I'm placing doors in a plan, With the ID, say, D1 which refers to a specific type of doors, and I want all the doors I Place to have that ID. However, Archicad disagrees. Door number one is ID'ed D1, the NeXT one D2, the Third D3 and so forth.

My question is, how do I prevent this from happening. I could of course rename every door afterwards, but it must be possible to turn that function off somehow?

In the Work Environment under "More Options" you will see an option to "Assign new element ID to each new element"
Turn this off and the ID will not automatically increase.
