too bad...would be nice (without creating a FAV) to be able to extract the say "trim information" out of a door and simply add it/modify it onto another door......oh well, maybe AC18?

No.
But you can select different door types at once, or even ALL the doors of the project, and modify only the casing parameters.

Search Archicad Help for Parameter Transfer Between Objects

You'll be able to "eyedropper" the door with the trim you want and "inject" it's settings into the <S></S>settings window dialog box<E></E> of your bifold door.

Then you can inject those setting into your existing bifold door.

Keep in mind. You'll have to resize the bifold to it's original width/height.... the trim, panels, etc. will match the original (D1 door).

Make sense?

...makes sense you ask.....yeeeeeah??? maybe?
I'll have to actually "do it" to see how that functions.
GS did teach us once how to do that but I rarely use this functionality that, well....when you need it most is when you've already forgotten about it.

thanks,
I use this all the time. If I have a double hung window with all the settings I want (trim, stool, sill, even pens) I use the eyedropper on the window and open the window dialog box. I can then inject the settings into a casement window, for example. This saves a ton of work.

Steve....I'll have to pick yer brain on the "step-by-step" on this function.
I've run across many times just this. I want to copy the "trim, stool, closure type...etc" settings of a certain window BUT I don't want to copy the window type onto the newly created window and I don't want to create 1000 favorites just for the "settings" issues.....so with that said I may just talk to you for a few minutes to discuss.

thanks....yes, this feature would definitely help tremendously in grabbing "certain" windows settings and adhering them to another window type.
