I've tripple checked all of my cut planes, i can get the correct display by changing the symbol to projected, or projected with overhead but then on my building plans the doors and windows show a cut of the 3d version of the door instead of the symbol. if i specify that to show as open then it shows that way on all the elevations. here is the file, and thank you for taking the time to help.
I cannot reproduce this: MVO to show opening only with 'contours' checked - the Graphisoft window/doors and the Cadimage one show a contour cutting across the width of the opening - basically outlining the RO.

Maybe a screenshot / example as Stuart suggests...
What version of AC are you using, and are you sure you have the most up-to-date patches to both Cadimage D/W and ArchiCAD?

Cheers,
