One approach is to create another pen set that is assigned to the drawings in the layouts, in this pen set you can change the color and weight of the pens used by the windows. You can search this forum for more explicit instructions, this issue has been raised before.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

<T>Hi

Does anyone know a quick way to change the pen colours for windows & doors. These objects are set up with orange lines that are very clear and useful when constructing a model, but after the model is completed I need these items to display with black for finished layouts and 3D views (Internal engine used).

At present I am having to manually edit every pen, sometimes 8no. per window, and there has to be a quicker way of doing it! I realise I can 'Select all windows' which speeds selection but some windows differ (mullions) from others, so some manual checking is still required. What would be really useful is a 'switch' to change all outline pens etc. to black and then back again as required, it is probably in there somewhere.</T>

Thanks for the reply, profile edited as instructed. I will do as you suggest and research pen sets on this forum. Apologies for raising something that has been discussed before, it is somewhat difficult when new to a programme to know the correct syntax, hence the question. Thanks for your guidance it is appreciated.
