Hi
can anyone tell me if you can get dimensions to show eg doors, windows , wall etc by easily or if you have to put a marker in on every element thanks

I don't understand exactly what you want to do but you can use the Automatic Dimensioning command, or you can select all Doors/Windows/Walls in question and Label them.

For the doors and windows, switch on the markers and make sure that they are visible in the Model view options.

The walls you have to dimension - as Laszlo said, automatic dimensioningis the fastest.
