Hi Rod.
Yeh , that might be about right.
As I'm sure you know, and Jess pointed out, there are custom
mill-work shops ready to plug in a "nice" number for curved anything, but what the hell, isn't that what makes this gig still fun?
And somewhat like a women, (sometimes), the more curves the better.
Bier

P.S.
Thanks Jess for the resource.

Has anyone come accross where you would set whether the wall a door or window is in is curved or staraight in v.12?
2.)
Does anyone know if you can use door&window buidler, or the regular ArchiCAD library to make a curved door panel?</T>

There is a curved window in 12, but limited. Is this what you are asking?
No, DWB will not do any curved elements. Not so far with any I have tried.

So thinking outside of the box might be required. AC can do what you want, but not in the conventional manner.
And you might ask who will make your designed unit and at what cost.

Thanks for the post Rod.
I had not seen this curved window yet.
The Northern "West Coast" has quite a few of Old Victorian
"ladies" that have curved windows.
And even though most were built with old growth redwood, the marches
of time are catching up to them.
Would like to see more curved window options, when G.S. gets around to it.
Bier, you sound as if you might be around my vintage
Very hard to get old growth anything locally, let alone a craftsman who
would know how to make some of these beauties.

Rod,
As far as who will make this door, we'll find someone, as far as cost, that is rarely an issue with these clients we work with.

For anyone that is curious about the curved door panels this is what we're doing.

We are using barrel vaulted roofs to make the panels, and saving them as custom door objects, and using a regular cased door object with an empty panel for the casing etc. So it will be 3 doors.
1. ArchiCAD Door-Empty Panel
2. Custom Door Object- as the right panel
3. Custom Door Object- as the left panel
What used to bug me in v.11 was that if you had an empty panel in a door it would still show the swing line in 3D. Now I want that for this door in paticular and I see that GS has fixed that. 'doh.

What I was asking about with the curved wall option for doors and windows was this:

In v.11 you can pick whether the door/window will be in a
Straight Wall
or
Curved Wall.

I can't find this choice anywhere in v.12,
And it seems maybe like you don't need it anymore, I think Archicad just knows it is in a curved wall if it is in a curved wall now. Does anyone know if I am right or wrong?
