<T>Is it possible to override all of the materials contained in doors/windows in one click or move?
Im asking this because when I select doors in plan/3D view I see model layer thats used and can change it, but it has no effect:-(
...so I must go to doors/windows control options and change every material for pannel, frame, sill....
Could this be done faster?</T>

Under the Model panel, uncheck 'Use Object's Materials'.

Cheers,
Yes I tried with that, but then the glass material gets erased also <E>😞</E>
Now I sound like a sisy

Hi Mario,

Not necessarily a one click solution, but if you click on the 'parameters' drop down bar in the window/door settings you can see all the materials listed next to each other.

It's faster than clicking through all the options separately though.

Some parts (most in the US library anyway) have a check box for making all materials the same. This makes all surfaces uniform except the glass and hardware (if any).

If its available in the US flavor - why not in UK too (and tomorrow, the world!)

This really is an archaic selection system.
Lots of control but for the 95% situation, just tedious and annoying.

Come on GS.... this needs sorting out.

(ps my apols for having started another thread on much the same subject)
