no one does window and door elevations?
this thread should be hot to trot as the only workaround seems to be 2D lines and manually adding the drawing numbers

<T>Drawings of window/ door elevations has always been a tricky technique in archicad.
Using Interactive schedule has its limitations eg
1) cant dimension components parts of the window or door
2) Composite door and window combinations show as separate elements
3) and the detail of the window is not always available in a chosen library part.
4) cant add notation with out it being separate from the schedule view set.

Now that version 10 the IS is automatically up-dateable (which is great) it makes the tool much more useable but still suffers the limitations.

How do all of you show your window and door elevations?

The schedule in the layout can be copied and pasted to the plan, exploded and resized but that doesnt seem a great solution but the schedule can be exploded to add the annotations</T>

Too "hot" for Sydney to give us any usable help. At least Ben (3dEdge) and I have a usable work around.

As I said before, works just a treat in 9, but this "lemon". We will wait a see if there is a satisfactory patch.

Again have a look at attached.

John, I thought by now you'd have contacted Ben.

Hi Rod - I have contacted Ben and he said would post something but must be busy. Still puzzled how you get the dimensions into the schedule
