Are there any walls in that location that are on layers that are turned off? If so, make sure their layer intersection numbers are different from the ones turned on.

<T>I'm still having problems with wall intersections not looking clean in plan view. AC 9; same wall types, layer, and heights. I tried stretching them both away from the corner and then selecting the two walls and using "Intersect" command.

Any ideas on what I'm missing?

P.S. Any way to change the line weight of door swings ONCE and have it stick for all doors from then on?</T>

Right again!

Thanks for the tip. I'm still new to AC and haven't had to use the intersection number before.

The strange thing is, I had to go to each elevation and plan view and open the Layers dialog and change the intersection number for the other wall layer, rebuild the elevations, and Resave View to get the fix to stay correct.

Whew! Why do I have to change the intersection number more than once? Any thoughts on this?

Thanks again.

The Intersection Number is part of your Layer Combinations, just like Hide/Show and Lock/Unlock. It has to be set in each combination to be what you want.

I tend to use a blanket 10 for all things off. There's no reason for 10, other than that it's not used for anything else in any of my template systems.
Now I'm going to call and sign up for some training... in AC10. Gotta get a better handle on this monster program.

Pick it up with Alt Click (eyedropper) and it will be the default from then on, until you change the door.

Otherwise, save Favourites for your doors, windows, whatever, and use them in all the projects.

Once per layer combo. You might look into using the AddOn made for this purpose in your goodies folder - or online if you are already on 10.

I haven't even looked at the goodies folder yet. Lots to learn.

I just ordered AC10 and signed up for an all day intro class using it (in Oakland, CA). So I'll be more up to speed and can ask slightly higher level questions here.

Thanks for the great tips, everyone.

Make that a week ... as you are not really up to speed with many concepts as it is.
