Could be a number of other things too. Maybe it is now a Zero Depth section or has limited vertical height. Maybe it's status is set to Drawing?

Check the General tab of the selected S/E tool.

After your previous experiments, hopefully your model is actually there!

Cheers,
Section/Elevation showing nothing after the cut in plan.why?

<T>While cutting sections to collect images of doors to add to our door schedule, I neglected to delete older sections and eventually started cluttering up my drawings.
I went back to these older sections and tried to delete them but because I'm still learning how this works, started deleting entire strips through the building..
Fortunately (or unfortunately) I also hadn't saved throughout the day and did not save these massive deletions. So we carefully did not save when we closed the program and lost the day's work which sucks but at least it was a lot better than losing the entire design!
Anyhow, we decided to start again where the design was at the beginning of the day and went to cut sections again but when we clicked to get a regeneration the window showed nothing.
The section/elevation was indicated in plan but there was nothing when I went to open the section/elevation window.
There was a previous section done last night that was still on the plan. When I open that up it shows for a split second before disappearing leaving only the dimensions that I had added after.
Does this problem sound familiar?</T>

Ed it sounds like you have accidently changed the elevation view of the section line and it it outside the range of the building. The flash is the old view before regenerating to see nothing. Added 2D items will still be visible.
