topic Loading Libraries in Libraries & objects

<T>I have a drawing which was started using Archicad Release 7 - and we are now using under Release 9 (by way of 8 and 8.1). At each stage of its evolution, more libraries were added, and eventually someone advised saving the project as a .PLA - which seemed to work okay. The .PLA file (as I understand it) now contains all the library parts which are actually used, and after having opened the .PLA file in order to edit the drawing, it is then saved as a .PLN on each subsequent occasion.

However there are 2 problems:

1 is: each time I open the drawing, I get the following 5 messages:

'Duplicated database name "Roofmaker 2.1" at line 1 of file MASTER_GDLRoofmaker 2.1.gdl.'

'Duplicated database name "AC_9_INT" at line 1 of file MASTER_GDLAC_9_INT.gdl.'

'Duplicated database name "AC 70 Qen" at line 1 of file MASTER_GDLRoofmaker 2.1.gdl.'

'Duplicated database name "Roofmaker 2.1" at line 1 of file MASTER_GDLAC.70 Qen.GDL.'

'Duplicated database name "Roofmaker 2.1" at line 1 of file MASTER_GDLRoofmaker 2.1.gdl.'

Is there some way of purging these messages?

The other problem is that sometimes library windows and doors display as blobs, and I have great trouble trying to correct this, even after loading every library on the system.</T>

Check to make sure that you don't have the PLA and the respective libraries(ArchiCAD 7 and or 9) loaded at the same time.

If you do, it will give you an error messages.

Cheers.
