AC24 3D window size

<T>Having issues with the 3D Window Size function. I can "float" the 3D window and enter my desired resolution. However, the vertical resolution remains fixed. In other words, the 3D window extends past my monitor horizontally - I can drag the window around my monitor and see the horizontal extents of the image. However, the image does not extend beyond the vertical limit of my monitor.

The result is a horizontal "slice" of the 3D window.

Is this a Mac issue? AC24 issue? Anyone have a solution?

Thanks!</T>

Sounds like the same bug as mentioned in this thread? Though this was in AC23...

It only affects the Mac platform and has been reported to GS, but there was no timeline for a fix as of May. Situation may have changed since then especially since this is now in AC24.

yes - same issue as that thread. My apologies for starting a new one.

I would like to see this get addressed by GS.

Hi all,

Thank you very much for pointing out this issue!

I consulted with the macOS experts, and it turned out that this is a limitation of macOS. The operating system doesn't allow setting the vertical size of a window larger than the vertical size of the screen, which depends on the Display scale.

The Display scale can be modified in the macOS's System Preferences > Displays page. You can select the Scaled resolution, after that select the largest possible screen resolution. This would help to make the maximum vertical size bigger.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you very much for your understanding! Please let me know if you have any further questions!

Best regards,
Even more reason that the View options for images from the 3D window should be updated to allow for a custom resolution to be set.
