Foregoing the IES, I just model lights myself... Too many different lights from multitudes of boutique designers... Have found a few that include 3D objects, but most of them are not suitable for actual use in AC due to high poly counts.

Where are we getting better lamp objects from? The options in the Archicad library are lacking, especially with the level of renders that clients are wanting.

Operating system used: Windows

Hi,

Maybe it helps:
https://www.bimobject.com/en/search?fullText=lamps&page=1
https://bimcomponents.com/Search/light

I would also look into 3d warehouse (if you have some designer lamp in mind, the better). You can download Collada files from there which import nicely into Archicad and then convert that into a .gsm object.
https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/models?q=lamps

For a more exhaustive list you can check out: https://graphisoft.com/downloads/parametric-objects/
