topic How to combine a door with a bottom louver and a side casement window into one object in Libraries & objects

Hi everyone,

I'm working in Archicad 26 using the Brazilian (BR) template, and I need to create a combined element that includes:

A single swing door with glass on top and a louver (aluminum) at the bottom

A side casement window, with 99 cm height and sill at 110 cm from the floor

Total width of the composition: 1.10 m

I’d like to know if there’s a way to combine these two elements into a single parametric object, such as:

A custom door with integrated sidelight

A GDL-based solution

Any library object that supports this layout (BR or INT)

I’ve tried modeling them separately and adjusting the wall opening, but I’m looking for a cleaner and more editable solution — ideally one that works well with schedules and labeling.

Any advice or workaround is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

If you cannot find such a Library Part on bimcomponents.com or similar Archicad Library Part download sites, then you will have to create it yourself.

If you have SSA/Forward, you have access to Library Part Maker (LPM), and I think you should be able to create this Library Part with it. It seems that Archicad 24 was the last version that offered a BRA version of LPM, so this is the download page for the INT version:

https://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/addons/lpm/INT

If you want to use Ac24 (you can install it and run it with an Ac26 license) and Library Part Maker 24 Brazilian version:

https://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/addons/lpm/BRA

If you create it with Ac24, you will be able to use the Library Part with Ac24 and later Archicad versions.

You should be able to find a door with sidelight option.

But I am not sure if that sidelight can be set as a double awning as you have shown in your image (a single casement window should be possible).

The door could be one of the standard door panel choices - check the available options.

If there is no such door panel, you can create one and save it as a custom door panel.

Or, as Laszlo suggests, create the entire object using Library Part maker.
