To close my own question I came in today and started up the file ready to wrestle with it again and everything is working fine. So we are back to the oldest trick in the book, quit the file and open it back up. Wish I had thought of that Friday.

<DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"><T>Imported 3ds object shows up in Perspective but not Axonometric view. It also shows up in Plan and elevation view. Why would switching to Axo make it disappear? I need to rotate the object and reserve it in the proper orientation.</T></DIV>
