Archicad 29 Kitchen Cabinets vs Archicad 28 Kitchen Cabinets. Why?

It was said that improvements had been made to kitchen objects in Archicad 29.

When I added a kitchen cabinet to the project I was working on in Archicad 29, I noticed that the handles were in the wrong position. When I went into the handle position settings, I saw that the distances here were completely wrong. The same problem occurs when I open the file without using any workspace.

However, when I added the same kitchen cabinet in Archicad 28 without making any adjustments, I observed that there were no issues. I didn't even need to change a single setting for the handles.

Why?

I didn't work in 28, but yes, in 29. there seems to be some frustrating parameter defaults. And cumbersome adjustments to fix them.

Could you import the Mapping Table file from AC28? Unless the actual parameters have changed, it should work.

ps. I cannot find the toolbar that it is on by default and the documentation for it doesn't actually tell you which toolbar... You can manually add it by searching for Mapping Table for menu customisation.

Why should we have to do that instead of Graphisoft doing their job and giving us library parts that work properly version to version. For those of you who like or have time to adjust code to make parts work, good on you. But most of us need to just get our work done.

The Mapping Table was for companies to be able to set the defaults across the the entire GS library. I modified a whole lof of materials and default sizes in it for AC28, and that has all come across into AC29, so far as I have noticed, so I suspect that the AC29 object is new and someone failed to match all of the parameters... so reimporting the Mapping Table will probably not help...

ps. Should not have to, but it was just a stop gap workaround suggestion as to not have to modify that setting every time you changed to that object...

I've reported this problem in Technology preview.

In AC29, the logic for handles settings and as well bottom "legs" was chnaged to be better in terms of changing size of the whole cabinet.

As already mentioned, this is just that someone set wrong default number so it looks like this.

Do you have the last library update for Archicad 29?

I've attempted to update my Archicad Library a few times now (AC tells me there is an available update), but the Installer app says it's already updated and refuses to execute. Based on the illustrations on this post, I'd say my cabinetry is not up to date.

I've heard that there might be a bug with the auto-update so I would recommend download directly and then install.

I've only got ac29 installed. The files in the folder are dated November 18. So, maybe they're updated? Sadly, the download page has stopped showing the date of the updates which would be useful.
