i can not overlap two drawings in layout due to some circumstances, i want to work in view map only. is there any way to add graphic override to the pipes that they can be highlighted, even if they are buried inside a wall?

i attached a reference from internet of an elevation drawing. pipe would be inside the wall, it still is visible. i want it to happen

If you want to show pipes in the wall (or in the furniture) that is not transparent you have multiple options, but all need to use Graphic overrides (GO).

My solution for this is to use 2 settings for one elevation where one shows only the pipes. Then I set GO to show them as dashed and then combine the two views on the layout.
Similiar to this is to export the view to .pmk and place in the elevation directly.

Or, if it is more technically focused and you don't need textures/colours in the drawing, you can set a property with data type True/False and for the interior elevation you can set some elements transparent by this property and correct GOs 😉

is it not possible to have preview of it like i have in plan? in plan it's easy to tweak it through the mep systems and it shows flawlessly, can we not do it in elevations or sections? a wall functions the same in all views, it's cut fil, lineweight, everything

If an element is hidden in a wall like a pipe, you just won't see it in 3D or elevation as it is concealed inside the wall.

You could set the wall layer to wire frame (so it has no surfaces to hide anything).

Or you could use a transparent material on the wall surface and turn transparency on in the elevation settings.

Or have two separate views (one of the walls and one of the pipes) and overlay them on a layout page.

The only way to see this in an actual elevation would be to set one view as a trace reference.
