topic Libpack Version number? in Libraries & objects

I have yet to switch to the new Global Libray, but I was about to test something, and then wondered: What version am I on? Do I have the latest lib build?

This, however, proves to be unsolvable. I've searched left and right, but the build no. is not an available info.

You'd expect to somehow access this information when clicking the info button... but ... no! :

I can, in theory, open the libpack, save out the "package.info" and then look there.

But, the info is not in there either?!

It has a "buildID", but that is supposed to be a GUID (it isn't, but it also is not a build number following the xxxx.xxxx schema from GS).

New, Old? Nobody can tell.

I'm sorry, but everything is now worse off than it was before.

Surely we can do better!

If you go to the action center, and then Licenses, it should show you what Library Build you are using.

<LI-SPOILER>Library Build Number</LI-SPOILER>

Incredible! Thanks Jeff!

That is the most illogical placement I've ever seen and it makes absolutely no sense. But thanks!

I'm baffled. Not in a million years I would have looked there.

(Also raises the necessary question how to detect diverging libpacks then... since they are all different, discrete files... at some point it is inevitable that not all will be on the same level, so to speak (cue: Murphys law). Even more so since you do not have to use the installer, but can download them individually.)
