what a .lib packs and how do you find and install them?

What are lib packs - what do you need to find and install them

do they move with you from project to project or do we start from scratch on every project or version

Libpacks are individual libraries for particular items that you can load as you need them.

Rather than one huge library (LCF).

To the end user they appear the same when using the objects.

You just need to load each file individually rather than loading the folder they are in or a single LCF file.

Once loaded, they behave the same as the regular old LCF libraries.

So they will stay with the job and load properly if you have access to the libraries, just the same as LCF libraries.

The default Graphisoft Libpacks are in the program folder, the same as the old LCF library.

But you need to load each Libpack that you want.

3rd parties may provide Libpacks or the older style LCF, both work just fine.

Libpacks are a little more complicated to create as they contain the LCF as well as some other files that control parameter mapping and language.

But the average user does not need to worry about that.

Just load them as you would any other library - just individually and not loading a folder of many libraries.
