Hi,

Heavily fueled by this topic here, I spent some time <STRIKE>making</STRIKE> coercing some AI's into scripting some useful Archicad objects and I want to share them here too. They were made for AC27 but I am expecting them to work on newer versions too.

In no particular order:
1. Flat Roof Cricket calculator (31kb)

For industrial applications, on flat roofs. You select the slope of your roof, drag the object across it to match it and it divides the length between downspouts and calculates the general sizing of the roof crickets with editable parameters. It also gives a rough estimate of volume of material needed and height of topmost point. I used to model these with morphs.

2. People - crowd (309kb)

Editable polygon bounding surface. Distributes low-poly people inside of that area. You can toggle them to be aligned in rows, edit variation in size, distance between them, etc. Cons: It can feel sluggish when editing.

3. People - queues (701kb)

Polyline path (with editable number of hotspots) and it places low-poly people waiting in a queue. I honestly don't know of a feasible application for this but here it is.

4. Stone pavers path (26kb)

This is one of my favorites - you can define a polyline path and then it will place pavers on that. Pavers can be oval, round, rectangular or organic, and you can set their size, rotation, distribution etc. You can also edit up to 3 different textures which will be randomized.

5. Water stream (43 KB)

A variation of the one above, not as useful. You can move the nodes on the Z axis so the path can be sloped. And itt doesn't look very pretty but maybe someone will find a use for it.

6. Flower and legume gardens (45 / 38 KB)

These are a variation of the people queue objects. You can have a polygon defining and area and it will "plant" stuff in an orderly fashion. You can edit individual types, surfaces, row distance and all that. Two separate objects, one for legumes other for flowers.

7. Road lines (12 KB)

Based on a line defined by hotspots it can draw the road lines (simple, dotted, double lines etc). You can choose distribution, sizings, curvature if needed.

8. Road hatches (23 KB)

Same as above but it makes the ground hatches you usually see on roads - where an area is inaccessible and such. You can control all parameters, size, angle, etc.

9. Traffic signs (164 KB)

One object which contains most traffic signs (embossed so they will carry over nicely to IFC). You can toggle the foundation, set foundation depth, set pole height and on some signs, choose orientation between left and right. Biggest gripe I have with this is that it can't be scheduled so you still have to assign properties manually and schedule based on those if you need to count them.

10. Industrial racking (23 KB)

My personal favorite. It divides the length of the object into a grid equivalent to one europallet size. You can toggle to see the pallets, goods on them, goods stacking height, and other parameters. It has a simple geometry but good for placeholder objects and works and iterates fast.

Hopefully some of these can be useful to someone.
