https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Libraries-objects/Unwanted-element-ID-when-creating-new-objects/m-p/232679#M6786 Element ID is just based off what you last had there.<BR /> <BR /> Let's say I place a sink and name the ID 'sink-01' it will start numbering from there, but if I change the sink object to a car object, the ID won't change.<BR /> <BR /> If I make a new object and place it, it is just using whatever you had there for ID of the previous object you were placing.<BR /> <BR /> If you want to automate the ID field a bit, you can make favourites of objects you use a lot, or a legend of sorts with a lot of objects readily placed with the element ID set up the way you like.
