<T>I'm trying to use the above label in AC20, and can only get the label to show up in one orientation (or mirrored). (Don't know if the behavior is different in AC19, though.) The arrow can be rotated by typing in a rotation value, but it seems like the label should come in oriented perpendicular to the pivot line in plan. Am I missing something here or is this just a slightly dumb object?</T>

I have made a label that is using a dummy skylight. It is working with complex roofs also.
Here is another one - click on roofs in elevation to label - save right & left
orientation in favorites - click on roof in plan set arrow direction.

Thank you daninet and RandyC. I appreciate your efforts.
daninet, unfortunately, US standards require a slope in 12. Also, the label needs to work in elevation.

RandyC, yours looks like it should work, but I could not get an arrow to appear in the plan view, just text.

Note - I use this label with 3 favorites - plan view , right elevation , left elevation - I couldn't make it sense the proper direction for the elevation views but the favorites work well.

Randy,
Unless you have a secret way to turn on the arrow for the plan view, I can only get the text to show, regardless of the arrow settings. I can get arrows for just about every other label. Just not yours.

Thanks, Randy. The pointer was turned on for the text label, and when I switched to a different label (the pointer line selection scrolled down and was hidden), I didn't realize that it turned off the pointer line automatically. Interestingly, it seems the pointer line is automatically turned on for the Text, ID, and unique ID labels, but turns off for other labels, unless it is explicitly turned on. And then it is on for all of the labels. A little confusing.

Anyway, this seems to work okay now, but the plan view setting shows arrow size parameters which do not seem to have any effect.

Yes I was trying to make the parameters produce the arrow - but I gave up
and just the arrow that comes with labels.

So ignore the arrow references in the parameter - or edit them out of the gdl script

I a not very experience at GDL but I do think this is a handy attempt and could be improved by someone with talent.
