<T>I'm am trying to insert lighting into my renderings and plans. I am using the lamp tool and using the pendent lighting. I have switched the distance from ground floor to 10' and turned on the lamps in both internal engine and cinerender. I still don't see the actual lighting with shadows and actual light casting. Any suggestions?</T>

Hi Courtney. It seems as though the layer on which the hanging lamp resides is turned off in the 3D view.

Thanks so much. Any idea how to get the lights to actually show. I can see the lighting now. However, I still cannot see shadows and actual light casting.

Are you sure you're turning on the lights in the photorendering window?

Go to Document > Creative Imaging > PhotoRendering Settings

1. In the preset scenes drop-down, choose one of the "indoor" settings.

2. Adjust the sliders for sun and lights

I'm assuming you're using ARCHICAD 19. We can give you more accurate answers if you put your version and operating system into the signature.
