<T>I would like to create a "cased opening." I have used the Rectangular Door Opening tool to create the opening in the wall, and all is good, until I want to wrap the wood base at the bottom. The door opening cuts the base as well as the wall. How do I get this to work? The wall is a complex profile, I have tried it with the base as part of the profile, and with the base as a slab added afterward.</T>

The trim is being cut by the wall. Either increase the building material priority of the trim, or put it on a layer with a different intersection number. I would change the layer intersection number. Remember to update the number on all your saved layer combinations.

I don't think it will work but maybe if you made the trim an operator and the wall the target and SEO-subtracted them the trim will come into view. Don't have my key with me or I would try but maybe it could be that easy. AC sometimes surprises me that way.
