If you click on the Custom Settings tab in the dialogue you show there will be other settings, including 2D Representation. Might be similar to my image below.

The underlying problem could be that your ID number for each fill could have changed somehow, which would be why fills are defaulting to paving fill rather than Empty fill. This will mean that every time you select a different object you will have to change the fill type. I am not sure how to get your fill ID's to realign with the defaults, but someone will be able to help.

<T>ArchiCAD newbie..
When I add objects from ArchiCAD 19 library to a drawing, the object comes in with a paver background ( see below) ..Same thing happens when I use stairmaker

Does anyone have any ideas
Hi..
Thank you for your response.. I've tried your recommendation without success. I feel it might be a larger issue. The Pavement 16 pattern still appears in the preview window as well on many objects (see attached) before I insert the object in the drawing . Perhaps the library is compromised

You can go to Options> Attribute Manager and select the Fills button to see fill ID numbers. My Empty Fill has an ID number of 65.

S2art..

Thankyou for the tip and easy to follow explanation.
It does the trick, but as mentioned, I must change it on every occurence. As you pointed out the default fill has been set to Pavement 16. I've reviewed the fills in the Attribute Manager, all good there.
I'll sent a request to US support and see

Thank you again
