From reading the GDL Reference Guide I get the understanding that the NEWPARAMETER command is specific to Backward Migration Scripts of Library Parts.
So it is not possible to create a new parameter for a library part from a GDL script, not with this command or any other command.
You have to create all parameters you want to use in the Library Part Editor Dialog.

auto parameters

<R>I have a problem. I would like to create an object, which has “n” identical units, which are the same macro units with several setups opportunities. I would like to solve this case, with newparameter, like this:

for i=1 to n
	newparameter "nwpar_1", "RealNum", 1, 1
        newparameter "nwpar_1", "RealNum", 1, 1
next i

Can anybody help with this? Because I tried with only the "newparameter" command, but I can't see any new parameters created.</R>
