topic How to disconnect size from 3D model an 2D Symbol ? in Libraries & objects

<T>hi all,

Is there way to disconnect an objects 3D model geometry (3D Script) from the 2D Symbol in the sense that neither the size of the 3D model nor the 2D Symbol changes the size of the respectively other.

User case: We want to provide a handful of standard 3D objects where the user then can adapt the 2D Symbol for the floor plan to his needs. In that cases the 3D objects should not change its size.

thanks for hints again!
Sure - so long as you ensure there are actual scripts for the 2D and 3D views.
i.e. no using PROJECT2 in the 2D script.

You will also need to ensure that you have 2 sets of parameters - one for the 2D and another for the 3D.
So you can adjust the 2D parameters for size, shape, etc., separately to the 3D parameters.

I am not sure this is a very good thing to do though but I have no idea what object you are trying to create.
