Won't do exactly what you want to do, but there's a "Roof Slope"
object on the BIM Components Portal.
Truth be told. It's kinda useless as you can't do fractional slopes
or easily change fonts.

thanks...yeah, I need it to be able to do what I need it to do.
be able to as you change the lines, the numbers on the roof slope change.
basically, have the line "information parameter" with regards to the length be directly tied to the 2d graphics of the triangle slope pline.

I'd like to take a look at that object but can't seem to find the bimportal easily?

Marc,
I tested the object.
sorta does what I need it to do but you are right...
it's got these preset slopes that if you need to deviate from it...say you need a 6.5:12...it won't do that.
it should be programmed to do the opposite, you stretch the line to whatever nearest fraction you have and the number changes according, rounding up to say....0.25 of a whole number.

and the sad part is that when you try to "open" the objects to see it's programming parameters, the owner "passworded" the object. hubboy.
