Maybe you should use the Element Classification field in the tags and Categories panel of its Settings Dialog to classify it as a Door.
Then, when you define your Schedule criteria, make this "Element Classification = Door" part of your criteria so that this element is also included in your Door Schedule. But be aware that it will not return any sensible data in the schedule for any of the scheduled parameters that are Door parameters (since it is not a Door element, but an Object).

<T>I have created a sliding barn door assembly out of slab parts, etc., and inserted it as an object. Did not save it as a door object.

Is there any way to associate it with a door label? I would like to be able to include it in the door schedule. Can't come up with a way to do it.

thanks.</T>
