topic Elevations in Licensing

<R>I'm currently studying an at home course for interior design and the assignment I'm currently on is Plan Surveys/ Scale Rulers/ Elevations. I've drawn up my plan, but now I need to add the elevations...I just don't understand where the A-A, B-B, C-C and D-D go on the plan and what their purpose is? Any help would be great and sorry if this is so easy and I just sound 'blonde'! </R>

The A,B,C's refer to how many elevations or sections there are on the project one letter per drawing there cannot be two A-A drawings. The double letters (or numbers) is to help understand where the "section line" is on the drawing, it will have two marker ("heads") on on each side of the project so that it is easier to understand graphically. Depending where you are located Elevations have one in the center of the line and use letters while Sections have 2 markers and use numbers. The easiest way is to get a hold of a set of architectural drawings and decipher the drawing symbols.
