<T>Relatively frustrating question.

Ive been working on a project for a semester now, and have recently had the problem where I cannot view in 3d using perspective. Parallel seems to work alright.

I tried making a new file, popping a few walls and slabs in there, and it worked just fine. Is there any other solution other than to copy the project to another file? Could it be the textures etc?

Im running macbook pro, 2 gigs ram, ATI Mobility x1600 w/ 256 mb ram

Thanks for the help!</T>

Check to make sure your perspective view is looking at the model. The easiest way to confirm if you have a problem is to set up a camera.

Great, thanks guys, - i got something to show up in 3d, but now the problem that its cutting through things. Like a clipping plane, but in reverse. Dont know if that makes any sense.

Would post a ss, but dont know to take one while in XP on a mac keyboard.

Thanks again.

That Evil Chopping Block of Invisibility seems to enter projects on a random basis. It is related to the camera position and travels with the camera during a 3D navigation.

Copying all elements to a new file (Try merging) tends to leave this glitch behind.

One of my clients had ECBI problem. Appeared only on one machine. Same project on other machines was fine. Turned out to be display driver. Don't recall if they had to replace the card or just update the driver.

Wow. I invented an acronym.

But why would this happen only occasionally?
My card is the GeForce 6800 Ultra (in a G5) that passes all the tests.
Only one or two files got this problem.
Fro my viewpoint, it seems unlikely that it is a hardware problem.
How would you update a Macintosh driver, anyways?

Haven't seen the problem lately.
